Dollar General App Reviews

This is a generic complaint about "big box" stores that do not have Wi-Fi because cell signals often do not penetrate the building so you have to check for specials outside the store while you still have cellular data. The UI for this app really needs to be redesigned. The lack of a good implementation of digital coupons is particularly galling.

This app has not loaded in a week! Tried on my wifes phone too, same result. The one time it did it froze when trying to add a coupon to the cart. Looks like Walmart from here on out , This app was nice at one time. Whoever monitors the development and functions of this app. Is costing the company tons of money quick.

This app is awful, when it works at all it takes forever to load your coupons and available coupons, but now the privacy policy wont load so I cant use it at all!!! Which means all the sales you can ONLY get with a digital coupon I can not get because the app wont open!!! If youre going to do this kind of thing at least do it right Dollar General!!!!

Its been 4 days and the app will not load. Ugh!

Ive been trying repeatedly to get the stupid app to work but it wont. I can use the website to load coupons just fine, but the app is horrible. HELP!!!

When the app worked, I liked it. Now it doesnt work. I tried deleting the app and downloading again, but now the privacy agreement wont even load. Cant get past first step. Miss the app. Wish it were fixed!

Why make an app that cant even open and crashes?? I couldnt even get past the terms... dont waste your time downloading this app.

Good app but best to load coupons before heading to DG, as others have pointed out loading coupons inside the store is nearly impossible. Saved a lot of money so far! Great if DG is one of your regular shopping places

I will tell you off the top .I shop in your store "ALOT" this is one of my house hold names . I love the $1 aisle for small things in life it should be $1 . And different store have different merchandise to choose from. Like I said its a part of my life

Used for the 1st time today. Had $5 worth of digital coupons and none worked. Save yourself some anguish and just print the coupon.

Come on put a price scanner in the stores or on the app. It will save us all so much time.

Every time I try to get into either app I get kicked back out. Need to fix

DO NOT GIVE YOUR INFO!! I downloaded this app this morning. Gave my cell number even though I wasnt happy about it as well as my email address. In the few hours since Ive signed up Ive had 4 calls from random out of state numbers and 20+ spam emails. I never had spam or calls like this before. Obvious correlation here. BEWARE!

DG has disappointed me several times. This app makes shopping there worse. Dont waste your time or space on your phone!!

I consider myself technically savvy but had a horrible experience just now using this app, more specifically use of digital coupons. I had no problems receiving the $5 off $25 but the digital coupons would not surface. You are supposed to enter your cell phone number into the keypad but I never got a prompt after tapping the appropriate button on the keypad. As a matter of fact, the entire register rebooted after both myself and the cashier tried. No, we didnt try too many times. Then when I asked the attendant if he could manually deduct my digital coupons he said unless I have the paper he could not. By this time the line in the store was long behind me and the cashier was the only one in the store. I lost about 20 minutesof my time and around $5 in savings. Until and unless they work this out, no matter how much you think youre going to save, dont download!

For the past 4+ months, every time I click on the app, it automatically forces close without opening at all. Dollar General needs many improvements and their app needs to be included in the changes they need to make. Useless to me for now.

Step outside store it works step inside store blacked out. Unexceptable, but your employees got a kick out of it!

I have never hated an app so much! I cant get logged in now. When I hit the reminder for a password it pops up my previously set up coupon list but Im still not logged in. Waste of a download!

Unable to create a new account. Looked forward to saving, but again disappointed as I also tried to use the other method in which i signed up via email to be able to load coupons outside the app. Take lessons from Targets cartwheel ! This should work easily for ALL potential users. Going old school now & cutting coupons. Hire someone to fix this app!!!
